Is the LUME Kit suitable for beginners?
Yes, it is actually designed specifically for beginners in mind. We want everyone to be able to enjoy making crafts together!
How long does it take to make a candle?
It takes about 30 minutes, but don't worry if you take longer! You are "taking a moment" with your loved ones after all! Take as long as you need.
Do the wax succulents melt as well?
Yes! They are hand made by us with organic soy wax and they melt along with the candle wax when the candle is burned.
Are the materials really eco-friendly?
Of course, and we don't use ANY disposable plastic! We specifically chose materials that are eco-friendly. Everything in the kit is either biodegradable or recyclable. Some materials, like the box, are made of recycled material. Some materials are farmed organically, like the soy beans that make the wax.
How is the kit sustainable?
All the materials in the kit can be grown. The soy wax is farmed sustainably and organically, unlike paraffin wax which comes from petroleum, a finite resource. Also, bamboo and cork are one of the most sustainable materials in the world! Our boxes use recycled materials and it can be recycled again. On top of that glass can be recycled, forever!
Can the candles be used as gifts?
Of course! We hope you mean that you make the candle and give it to someone because that would be so sweet and they would cherish it forever!
Can I put the wax succulents anywhere on the candle?
Yes, it may not look pretty but feel free to put the wax succulents anywhere you want and make it your own!
